Default TEA Party in PTC

Today we attended the PTC Tea Party along with Sen. Chance, Rep. Ramsey, Secretary of State Handel and other elected officials. Discussed were issues about spending concerns, balanced budgets, Fair tax, etc.

Many cities across the country were having the TEA parties and thousands of people attended in different cities across the country.

Overall, it was a well-organized meeting (about 300+ people) who just wanted their voices heard about government spending concerns (at all levels).

Citizens are concerned. This issue is not a party issue, it is a government issue. People are losing jobs, losing savings, getting hit with increased interest from lenders (who received bailout funding) and other events that impact lives. People are speaking up and want a voice. We have to be responsible with the capital of the U.S. and make cautious decisions.

Whether one is for fair tax or not, many people agree that the tax code needs simplification. Everyone should be comfortable with their tax submissions to all levels of the government. We all understand that taxes are needed to run the government and generate services but we all should observe the spending that is done by the government.
